“Don’t cut down the trees. Make the most of the water. Let’s make a golf course while maintaining the natural forests and streams as features of Nidom.”
That’s what the founder said to the architect while looking at the scenery created by the area’s beautiful forests and mountain streams.
There are 27 holes on the Ikoro Course and 18 on the Nispa Course.
Tall trees, rugged hills, water’s edges and unpredictable wind are all beautiful because they are nurtured by nature.
Maintaining such beauty means that the course needs to be difficult and varied in terrain.
Therefore, the course concept of “beautiful & tough” is not mere rhetoric.
It had to be designed that way to coexist with the surrounding forest.
